HantekDSO GNU/Linux packageDSO-2150The DSO-2150 USB is a portable oscilloscope with two channels and 150MS/s Real Sampling and a 60MHz (-3dB) Bandwidth designed for general signal testing with the characteristics of small size, low power consumption and high reliability. Powered by the USB interface, no need for external power supply, which offers high rate of transmission, high interference free performance and high unfailing performance without external power source, so it works well with a battery-powered laptop or notebook PC. You can print and save your data and reload saved data for further analysis. Some specifications are;
  • Single shot bandwidth: 60MHz;
  • Buffer size: 32K samples;
  • 2 channels;
  • Measurements: Vp-p, Vmax, Vmin, Vmeans, Vrms, Vamp, Vhigh, Vlow, positive overshoot, negative overshoot, cycle mean, cycle rms, period, frequency, positive pulse width, negative pulse width, rise time (10% ~ 90%) fall time (10% ~ 90%), positive duty cycle, negative duty cycle;
  • Cursor: Time/frequency difference, voltage difference;
  • Math: Addition, Subtraction, multiplication, Division;
  • FFT: Rectangular, Hanning, Hamming, Blackman Window.
There are many models produced by HantekHantek and a number of them are used under GNU / Linux thanks to some open source software developed. Software applications for Hantek USB digital oscilloscopes are:
  • Digital Soda: Digital SodaDigital Soda is a GNU/Linux GTK+ frontend for the Hantek DSO-2250DSO-2250 USB oscilloscope;
  • HantekDSO: HantekDSOHantekDSO is a USB oscilloscope software for Hantek/Voltcraft/Darkwire/Protek/Acetech/etc. DSO-2090/2150/2250/5200A oscilloscopes. It is based on the libusb and Qt 3/OpenGL libraries. The project includes a firmware extraction utility and udev rules file for loading firmware under GNU/Linux-Unix;
  • OpenHantek: OpenHantekOpenHantek is a free software for Hantek (Voltcraft/Darkwire/Protek/Acetech) USB DSOs based on HantekDSO. The UI is written in C++/Qt 4 and uses OpenGL to draw the graphs. At the moment it was tested officially only with the Hantek DSO-2090DSO-2090 USB PC oscillosope;
  • Oscope2100: OScope2100OScope2100 is a Hantek DSO-2100 USB software for GNU/Linux. Note: this project does not include firmware extraction utility, you can find it in HantekDSO project and the utility is called dsoextractfw. How to build and how to install please read file README in the package.

NOTE: You need to find the firmware for the oscilloscope (usually in the folder Driver on CD), convert it to .hex files, and make sure they get loaded into the oscilloscope when it is connected.
