They have a full range of products on several different platforms (Wireless, USB, PCMCIA, PCI, PCI Express, PC/104-plus, etc), which are developed, and based, on the same API CANlib and are compatible with each other. Write to just one API and use any Kvaser product on any platform. Kvaser' products are spread in 18 segments; Electronic distributors, Automotive, Maritime, Hydraulic Equipment Producers, Textile Industry, Process Industry, Medical Equipment, Railway, Building Automation, Avionics, Domestic Appliances, Military, Material Handling, Agricultural, Telecom, Construction Machines and Vehicles, Trucks and Industrial Automation because different CAN networks need different solutions and CAN networks are not created equally. USBcan units offer two channel USB interfaces for the CAN bus, and the Leaf series of products provide a single channel USB interface for CAN but with a range of features and price points. And finally, products such as the Memorator allow you to log data without a PC, then the PC to extract network messages. All the software tools of Kvaser are free and available for download from their website! Linux driver and SDK are version for Kvaser PCIcan/PCIcanx, Kvaser PCIcanII, Kvaser PC104+, Kvaser PCIcanx II, Kvaser USBcan II, Kvaser Memorator (NOTE: only with USBcanII functionality), Kvaser Leaf family, Kvaser Memorator Pro (NOTE: only with USBcan Pro functionality), Kvaser USBcan Pro and VirtualCAN. Supports kernel version 2.6. For LAPcan and LAPcan II, you should use the older version of the driver. HereHere a complete list of supported boards on GNU/Linux.

HD44780LCD-Linux is a GNU/Linux software abstraction layer to drive LCD alphanumeric displaysLCD-Linux is a GNU/Linux software (terms of license are GNU GPLGNU GPL) abstraction layer to drive LCD alphanumeric displays. It features complete VT102 console emulation and aims to be as general and flexible as possible. Drivers for specific LCD controllers can be easily written. Currently, only the Hitachi HD44780 is supported; it consists of two kernel modules, lcd-linux and the display driver. For more information click herehere.

LinCAN an implementation of the Linux CANPhilips 82c200 a controller for CANThe LinCAN is an implementation of the Linux CAN-bus (CAN - Controller Area Network) device driver (kernel module) supporting more CAN controller chips and many CAN interface boards. Its development has long history already. Now it's devoloped by OCERA; this version of the driver has new better designed internal structure, adds new features (as support for open by multiple applications, select system call) and other enhancements. It works with the common Intel i82527 , Philips 82c200 (a high integrated stand-alone controller for the Controller Area Network CAN used within automotive and general industrial environments), and Philips SJA1000 (in standard and PeliCAN mode) CAN controllers and many others! For a complete list read README file on the package LinCAN. LinCANLinCAN is part of a set of CAN/CANopen related components developed as part of OCERAOCERA framework. The driver consist of four main layers;

  • chip level manipulation routines;
  • board specific support;
  • message queues;
  • user-space API and ABI character device interface.
