PCAN Light - Release Version 6.11

E-mail
Friday, 17 July 2009 19:37

CAN adapters under GNU/Linux manufactured by PEAK-System TechnikPCAN-Light for LINUX is the easy to use software interface for CAN hardware by PEAK-System. There's a single API (Application Programming Interface) for all CAN interfaces. This simplifies the software development. The drivers are designed to work with CAN hardware by PEAK-System and 100 percent compatible hardware by OEM vendors. Take care when using third-party hardware, since the drivers use special functions. In this new version of driver;

  • Optimized for multicore environments;
  • Fixed endian problem for netdev sending SFF frames via USB;
  • Removed a bug where a write could return -ENODATA even if the write was successful;
  • Renamed pcan_fifo_near_ful() to pcan_fifo_not_ful();
  • Moved the sense of pcan_fifo_empty();
  • Now it returns true (!=0) if the FIFO is empty;
  • Minor bug fixes.

ClassicLadder a project to have a free ladder language in CClassicLadder is a ladder and sequential (grafcet) languages as used on many PLC for programming automation process. Ladder language allows to realize programs on PLC in an electric way. It is based on the concept of relay contacts and coils, and can be used to construct logic checks and functions in a manner that is familiar to many systems integrators. Some changes in this new version of ClassicLadder;

  • New system variables %Sxxx and %SWxxx: %S0 is the classic 1Hz flash and %SW0, %SW1 & %SW2 for BCD time, date & day of week. %S10 is set per the modbus master if error of communication (EMC principle).
In the future has been planned to log any variables wanted and have a list of the current defaults events.
