Arduino is  an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible,  easy-to-use hardware and softwareArduino is an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. The open-source Arduino environment makes it easy to write code and upload it to the i/o board. The environment is written in Java and based on Processing, avr-gccavr-gcc, and other open source software. In this new version of Arduino IDE, for core/libraries;

  • Added an SPI library;
  • Added a shiftIn() function;
  • Updated version of Firmata supports Mega and capability querying;
  • Added Serial.peek() method;
  • Modified the parsing of avr-gcc / avr-g++ output and error messages;
  • Fixed problem with tabs of the same name but different extensions.

Added new packages in the repository: XBLASXBLAS and LAPACKLAPACK libraries. Note: Lapack's package is build using autoconf tool with autoconf-lapackautoconf-lapack package. Upgraded, also, Maxima to the version 5.22.1.

Magic - 8.0.76 & 7.5.203

Magic is  an  open source VLSI layout toolMagic is a venerable VLSI layout tool, written in the 1980's at Berkeley. New versions of Magic, stable and development, has been released. In this stable distribution (Magic version 7.5.203);

  • Corrected an error in which the hint tile of the cell plane ends up as one of the boundary tiles after expanding a cell with scaled subcells. Resetting the hint tile seems to solve the problem.

On the development distribution (Magic 8.0.76);

  • 8.0.75: corrected an error in which the hint tile of the cell plane ends up as one of the boundary tiles after expanding a cell with scaled subcells. Resetting the hint tile seems to solve the problem;
  • 8.0.76: distribution in an uncompilable state! Fixed!

Maxima  is  a  system for the manipulation of  symbolic and  numerical  expressions,  including differentiation,  integration, Taylor  series,  Laplace  transforms, ordinary differential  equations, systems  of  linear  equations, polynomials, and sets, lists,  vectors,  matrices, and  tensorsMaxima is a symbolic computation program. It is full featured, doing symbolic manipulation of polynomials, matrices, rational functions, integration, Todd-coxeter, graphing, bigfloats. Maxima has a symbolic debugger source level debugger for maxima code. A new version, 5.22.1 stable, has been released. Some changes;

  • Replacing at 9 places a wrong noun form with simplifying code;
  • Correcting a typo in the routine elemxpt and declaring the variable w in the routine elemxpt;
  • Some work on the implementation of the Exponential integrals;
  • Fixes an issue with allegro where the prompt is printed with *print-circle* bound to T, which looks messy and confusing to non-Lisp users;
  • Add %gamma_incomplete to functions with discontinuity.

XtreemOS project aims at building a GNU/Linux-based operating system to support virtual organizations for next generation gridsXtreemOS project aims at building a GNU/Linux-based operating system to support virtual organizations for next generation grids. The overall objective of the XtreemOS project is the design, implementation, evaluation, and distribution of a grid operating system (called XtreemOS) with native support for virtual organizations (VO). XtreemOS is capable of running on a wide range of underlying platforms, from clusters to mobiles. It is based on Mandriva Linux, with support to come for other distributions later. It is characterised by properties such as transparency, hiding the complexity of in the underlying distributed infrastructure; scalability, supporting hundreds of thousands of nodes and millions of users; and dependability, providing reliability, highly availability and security. Team XtreemOS announce the second beta version of the third public version of the XtreemOS Grid Operating System.
