Maxima  is a  system for the manipulation of  symbolic and numerical  expressions,  including differentiation,  integration, Taylor series,  Laplace  transforms, ordinary differential  equations, systems of  linear  equations, polynomials, and sets, lists,  vectors, matrices, and  tensorsMaxima is a symbolic computation program. It is full featured, doing symbolic manipulation of polynomials, matrices, rational functions, integration, Todd-coxeter, graphing, bigfloats. Maxima has a symbolic debugger source level debugger for maxima code. A new version, 5.22.0 stable, has been released. Some changes;

  • Fixes an issue with allegro where the prompt is printed with *print-circle* bound to T, which looks messy and confusing to non-Lisp users;
  • Some fixes for gcl to build sys-proclaims properly;
  • Improving the algorithm for the case %e_to_numlog: Work on Stage II, Method 1;
  • Adding the change of representation  for the Exponential Integral E1 for the cases expintegral_li, expintegral_trig, and expintegral_hyp;
  • Checking for float or bigfloat number which is a representation of a negative integer. For this case give a domain-error.

Scilab  is  a  numerical computational package  developed since 1990  by  researchers  from the INRIA and the École  nationale des ponts  et  chaussées (ENPC)The Scilab Consortium announces the release of the Scilab 5.2.2 stable version. Scilab is a numerical computational package developed since 1990 by researchers from the INRIAINRIA (Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et Automatique) and the École nationale des ponts et chaussées (ENPCENPC). Scilab 5.3.0-beta 2 is a test version provided to the community before the final release. This version includes many bug fixes, new performance improvements including first HPC features, an improved and refactorized text editor, some major ergonomics developments of Xcos and ATOMS existing tools and new GUI functionalities, e.g.;

  • SciNotes (text editor): add the possibility to restore the last session and add a close-button on the tabs and the possibility to drag&drop them;
  • XCos: fixed a conditional compilation, fixed a wrong id block and fixed an Xcos block could not change the type of a port when it was already present;
  • Compilation: fixed a "native" and "double" evaluation modes added to the sum, cumsum, prod and cumprod functions, fixed a java exception was thrown when we clicked on a menu created using uimenu because this menu had no child ...and so on!
For more details, consult the main changes between versions 5.3.0-beta1 and 5.3.0-beta2 of Scilab in thisthis pdf document.

The 16-channel PCI-16SDI analog input board provides high-density precision 16-bit analog input resources on a standard PCI expansion board, and requires no external filters for antialiasing. Optimized for flexibility and performance, the board is ideal for a wide variety of applications, ranging from simple precision voltage measurements, to the analysis of complex audio signals and waveforms.GSC aka General Standards Corporation specializes in the development of high performance PMC, PCI and VME products. PMC boards include serial I/O, FPDP interface, optically isolated digital I/O, Sigma-Delta A/Ds, 16-bit 200KHz A/D and 400KHz D/A, and 8-96 Mbyte Flash memory.
