GTKWave is a fully featured GTK+ based wave viewer for Unix and GNU/Linux which reads LXT, LXT2, VZT, and GHW files as well as standard Verilog VCD/EVCD files and allows their viewing. The new release fixes some problems/bugs and adds new functions, i.e.;

• Updated vcd2fst so it is compatible with VerilatedVcd writer;
• Read hierarchy reconstruction hardening for fstapi.c;
• Check return code for hierarchy generation in fst2vcd.c;
• Updated example to reflect Quit name change;
• Updated repscript_timer so it prints stack trace.

The Scilab Consortium announces the release of the Scilab 5.2.2 stable version. Scilab is a numerical computational package developed since 1990 by researchers from the INRIA (Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et Automatique) and the École nationale des ponts et chaussées (ENPC). Scilab 5.3.0-beta 1 is a test version provided to the community before the final release. This version includes many bug fixes, new performance improvements including first HPC features, an improved and refactorized text editor, some major ergonomics developments of Xcos and ATOMS existing tools and new GUI functionalities, e.g.;

• ScinoteS (text editor): Complete refactorization of the text editor. This change improves the speed, the stability of the editor and also improves many aspects of SciNotes;
• Graphics: Datatips tools added;
• XCos: LaTeX formulas can be used on any TextBlock using the Scilab tag based description;
• Performance: Improved access to the list of functions increases the performances.

PLCEdit is a source code editor for PLC programming; it can read and edit POU files and it is able to create different types of POUs, programs, function blocks, functions and global variable lists, according to the IEC61131-3 standard. A web based frontend for Heyu, domus.Link is a program designed primarily to use to X10 in home automation. Main differences from version 1.1 consist with a number of new features and enhancements, e.g.:

• Added the capability to hide modules from the main home module page;
• Fixed error with popup when displaying extended option info in the timer view;
• Installation is now simplified due to the fact there is no installed db files;
• Updated Language files;
• Updated progress bar handling to be generic. Progress bar javascript is now in the javascript directory and not embedded.
